Leak Detection

Leak Detection involves many complex factors, and a variety of tools, but the vast expeirence and expertise of Avalon Industries makes the steps towards solutions seem easy.

In the past, much leak detection was accomplished with the use of a metal object such as a screwdriver, with one end against the suspect pipe and the other against the operators ear. Due to the use of poor sound conductors such as plastic or cements, and urban growth increasing the amount of noise pollution, the art of detecting a leak became increasingly harder. Using highly advanced sonic and ultrasonic equipment is one way Avalon resolves such problems. leak detector

Among the top of the list of audio leak detectors is the LD-10 (seen to the right). The use of Professional's Leak Detector LD-10 which is manufactured by Schonstedt Instrument Company is one way Avalon accomplishes these tasks. With the use of electronics and a patented ground microphone the LD-10 can filter out unwanted background noise. These advances make it one of the best sonic leak detectors in the world.

The Ultraprobe 2000 (as seen below) is another device that Avalon readily uses to solve some of the toughest leak problems that our customers face. It uses ultrasonic sound which is inaudible to the human hear. NASA has used this technology and found that it's use can detect problems long before other types of detection can.
