Underground Utility Location: Conduits, pipes, cables, well heads, tanks and void (Radio Frequency, Ground Penetrating Radar and magnatometers).
- Remote visual inspection: Video scopes, Bore scopes, internal video inspection in pipes, tanks and vessels.
- Leak Detection Services: Hydrostatic, multi-gas detection, including trace gases, ultrasonic and audible listening equipment.
Submeter GPS.
Avalon has provided services for a wide array of organizations such as US Department of Energy, NASA, Airport Systems, Power Generation Plants, Petrol & Chemical Refineries, Oilfield and Municipal.
Avalon has located and solved many underground problems in extreme conditions. One such job at Bush Intercontinental Airport required several pin point pipe locations at depths of more than 15 feet, under 4 foot thick slabs with 2 inch rebar. The depths of the lines located were also determined.
Owner Louie Brents founded Avalon Industries in 1987. Mr. Brents has earned a degree in Electronic Science from the Institute of Electronic Science Texas A&M and possesses a vast knowledge of electronic instrumentation and its application to a variety of field sites, including several years as a Sr. Field Engineer at Seismograph Company.
